I found the staff from the moment you entered the drive, attentive and eager to greet and remember you. It does hold a five-star rating, has several fine dining restaurants; The Kaspar (Noted for seafood), The Thames Foyer, The Savoy Grill,” managed by Gordon Ramsay, and is known as the best “Afternoon Tea,” in all of London featured in the Kaspar. The Savoy is also situated with a view of the Thames River (pronounced Tims). I loved eating my breakfast every morning and watching the houseboats go by.

What I hoped for having stayed at other Fairmont Properties (now part of the Accor Group), Van Couver Airport, Canada and the Plaza in Hotel in New York City, was opulent accommodations, professional service, and those unexpected touches you get and really make you feel special.
